A driver died in what police say was a freak accident on a road near the town of Savagnier in canton Neuchatel.
A truck travelling in the opposite direction of the victim threw a stone which went through the windscreen of a car, hitting the driver.
Thanks to the passenger, the car was brought under control and stopped safely. The driver was taken to hospital and later died of their injuries. No one else was hurt.
Police are investigating.
Economic outlook uncertain for this year
