Denmark blocked from sending vehicles to Ukraine

Denmark is unable to supply 20 armored infantry vehicles to Ukraine as they’ve been made in Switzerland.

When this country supplies arms to other countries – they can only be sold or passed on with permission.

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs said no. It justifies the decision because of the War Material Act.

But Switzerland is under increasing pressure to change its policy. World leaders at the recent World Economic Forum’s meeting in Davos voiced strong support for Ukraine and more people in parliament in Bern say the government needs to show more flexibility.

Germany is also asking Bern to reconsider the supply of ammunition it bought from Switzerland.
