A 47-year-old motorist died on Friday on the A1a autoroute heading towards La Praille in Geneva.
Reports suggest he swerved on the junction between the A1 and A1a roads.
The stretch of road was closed for many hours on Friday morning whilst emergency services were on-site.
The driver was extricated from his vehicle and taken to the emergency room of Geneva University Hospital, but died on Saturday from his injuries.
