Firefighters rescued 25 cows from a burning shed in Chatel St Denis in canton Fribourg.
The alarm was raised by workers at a nearby café who spotted the cow shed was on fire at around 8.30 yesterday morning.
Emergency workers managed to lead the animals to safety – no one was injured.
