A court in Bern has handed down sentences to a group of bikers from different gangs following a battle between them in Bern in 2019.

A 37-year-old member of the Bandidos gang will go to prison for 8 years for shooting a Hells Angels member.

An Austrian national who was found guilty of hitting a Bronco member on the head with heavy electrical cable will serve 3 and a half years and then be deported.

Another man couldn’t be found guilty of stabbing a member of the Broncos gang – but will still be jailed for 8 months.

A total of 22 bikers were in the dock – the rest received suspended sentences.

Outside the court there was a heavy police presence to keep the peace between the rival gangs after a riot broke out at the beginning of the trial.
