The football club, Stade Nyonnais, could be denied a licence to play in next season’s Challenge League, due to shortcomings at its Colovray stadium.
League inspectors have identified several issues, including facilities for away fans, toilets, refreshment areas and the condition of the pitch.
The irony is that the under par stadium is managed by the European football association, UEFA which is its neighbour in Nyon.
