There are now confirmed cases of the Omicron variant in the country.
There are two in Geneva, two in Basel and it’s thought one is in Zurich.
One of the cases is a 19-year-old high school student in canton Basel City. He’s vaccinated and had not been travelling. He and around 100 of his school mates at the Kirschgarten school are now in isolation.
The two Geneva cases had recently returned from Southern Africa.
