Around a thousand people marched through Bern on Saturday afternoon demanding climate justice.
Protesters argued that the climate crisis is deepening global inequalities, forcing millions to flee their homes, and reinforcing systems of colonial and patriarchal oppression.
Organisers stressed that the crisis can no longer be prevented, only limited, and called for solidarity, critical engagement, and commitment to a fairer world.
Among the participants was Green Party president Lisa Mazzone of Geneva.
Police did not publish figures, but a Keystone-SDA reporter estimated around 1,000 demonstrators, while organisers later claimed 2,500.
