A church has been banned from the University of Geneva for failing to respect the law on secularism.
The English-speaking Adventist church had rented a room at the Uni Mail building in January.
The university says it was told it was for a conference – but in fact there had been prayers and religious singing.
Religious events are banned at the university and it says it will not allow the church into its premises again.
The church says it rented the room as it was one of the few places that could accommodate 500 people and it was an internal event with no intention of recruitment.
