Changes to public transport next month

There are some changes to the public transport system in Geneva over the next few weeks.

The tram line 15 will be extended to Plan-les-Ouates, passing through Lancy and Confignon.

The new service will mean a tram running on that line every 4 minutes in rush hour improving services to the Léman Express and the centre of the city.

The change will also mean alterations to line 22 which will take a new route and line 42 will be replaced and 47 will also change – all designed to connect better with the new tram.

The Léman Express is also adding new trains to lines 5 and 6, increasing the frequency of services – even on Sundays. That’s a 22% improvement, on the number of trains, they point out.

The changes kick in on 10th December.
