Cat owners in Pfaffnau in canton Lucerne are keeping their pets indoors as many are being smeared with glue or oil.
Some of the animals have to be shaved afterwards.
A local Facebook page has pictures of the feline victims. There’s some speculation as to who’s the culprit – either one cat hater or some suggest a gang of youths.
Local police confirm there are reports of animal cruelty and they’re investigating.
Anyone found guilty could face jail time.
