A petition has been launched calling for the abolition of first-class on trains.
The campaign by youth members of the Transport and Environment Association argues that removing first class would create more space for commuters, especially on busy routes like Geneva to Lausanne.
The petition has already gathered more than twelve thousand signatures.
But commuters are divided. Some say packed second-class trains make the idea appealing, while others argue first class is justified because passengers pay a higher fare.
