In Geneva, disturbing testimony is emerging from the trial of a former Montessori teacher accused of abusing children as young as three.
Prosecutors say that between 2016 and 2018, the British-born educator screamed at students, deprived them of food and water, and at times locked them alone in a dark room.
Parents told the Court their children still suffer lasting effects - from renewed bed-wetting to deep anxiety when adults raise their voices.
The 56-year-old defendant, who left Switzerland years ago, did not appear in court and is being represented by his lawyer.
Prosecutors are seeking a ten-month suspended sentence and a lifetime ban on working with minors.
The trial continues.
