Body found in recycling bin in Lausanne

Lausanne police say they believe a 36-year-old woman who was found dead in a clothing recycling bin was an accident.

The body was discovered by workers emptying the bin on Saturday.

Emmanuel Rossier who runs the recycling system for the city says it’s impossible to fall into one of the bins by mistake.

The police say they believe it may be a prank that went wrong. They dismissed rumours the body was found in a black bag.

It’s not the first time. A man died in similar circumstances in Geneva in 2015 and there have been other reports of the same thing happening in France.
