Instead of a nice glass of wine, a customer in a high-end bar in Geneva was served cleaning fluid.
Fortunately, he spat it out right away – although his mouth and tongue were slightly burnt.
The server admitted he had put the fluid in an old wine bottle and then accidently served it.
The incident was in August last year.
A court handed down a suspended CHF 4,500 fine to the bar tender for negligent bodily harm.
