Arrests in Geneva after man killed in Annemasse

Geneva police have arrested two suspects after a man was stabbed to death in the neighbouring French town of Annemasse on Tuesday afternoon.

French prosecutors say the 23-year-old victim was stabbed in the neck by a person who escaped in a car with another person inside.

The victim was rushed to the University Hospital in Geneva, but died of his injuries.

Geneva police say one suspect, thought to be the passenger in the vehicle, gave himself up at the Plainpalais police station.

Another man was arrested shortly after.

Geneva police are now investigating together with the Annecy public prosecutor’s office.
