An assault last week at a private hospital in Annemasse has triggered a high-level intervention by the French health minister – Yannick Neuder.
Last Wednesday two brothers went to the emergency room, with one suffering a work-related injury.
One of the brothers was frustrated at the delay and started to attack staff. The situation escalated when others intervened. In all, there were 13 victims.
The health minister promised ‘increased sentences’ for the attackers.
The trial at the Thonon Criminal Court has been adjourned until next month.
