Airport warns of strike disruption

Geneva airport managers are warning passengers should arrive early for flights on Thursday just in case workers strike in protest of a new pay policy.

Unions warned last week if the new policy is adopted, it will mean a cut in pay and a loss of bonuses. They’ve threatened to  strike on Thursday.

Yesterday, the airport confirmed the new policy will be voted on later this week.

Managers say revenue prediction is not enough to maintain the current pay structure.

There are concerns strikes will mean delays and some flight being diverted from Geneva.

The advice is to make sure you arrive at least 2 and a half hours before your flight.
