The latest figures from the airport shows the number of flights is heading back to pre-pandemic levels and revenue was up nearly 16%.
The airport made a profit over the last financial year of around CHF 89m – half of that is returned to the canton.
Last year also saw a strong recovery in passenger numbers, up 17% on the previous year. But they’re still not quite at 2019 levels. That year the airport handled 17.9 million passengers. Last year was 16.5m.
easyJet remains the biggest airline – by a massive margin. It handled 7.5m people, next on the list is SWISS at 1.9m. BA is third at 800,000.
