Air traffic climbs again

Geneva Airport

Although the number of people taking planes is continuing to climb – the figures are not yet back to the pre-pandemic levels.

There has been a sharp increase in the second quarter of the year – especially from Zurich, which us the country’s busiest airport.

Nearly 14 million passed through the airports in that time – up 21% on the same period last year.

The increasing passenger numbers is also being reflected in the increase of aircraft movements.

The main destinations are within Europe, with Spain and the UK being very popular,

Asia is next, followed by North America.
