An elderly man had a stroke of luck after he dropped CHF 20,000 in cash on the street.
The man had just withdrawn the money from a bank in Martigny in Valais. He didn’t realize the money was gone until he returned home.
He thought he had been pickpocketed, and so decided to go to the police station.
As he was getting in the car, a young couple approached him with the envelope – as it had his name and address on it – and gave him back his savings.
The man was so grateful, he gave them a CHF 500 reward.
