As many as 4,000 soldiers will be used to help protect the Ukraine peace conference in canton Nidwalden in June.
It’s felt the high number is needed due to the mountainous area around Bürgenstock – according to the government.
Many high-profile guests are expected at the conference. The Federal Council also says airspace around the area will be restricted.
