Three teenagers said to be responsible for a mini-crime wave at the end of last year have been placed in preventive detention.
A court in Vaud says the 16- and 17-year-olds committed around 80 offences between June and October last year.
They stole around 20 cars and scooters, broke into shops and homes, mainly around Vaud – but also in cantons Fribourg, Valais and Geneva.
They were arrested in Geneva last October after a chase in a stolen car.
Two are in youth detention and the third is set to be placed in more specialized care.
