Woman hit by tram dies

The woman hit by a tram in Servette on Monday evening has died.

The 76-year-old was hit near the Servette stop by a line 18 tram heading towards CERN. Witnesses say she was stuck under the vehicle.

Cantonal prosecutors have launched an investigation.

The death is the thirteenth on the canton’s roads this year. That is the same number as last year – with still the rest of the month to go.
