Lausanne's new tram is already drawing complaints — before it even enters service
Residents along Rue de Genève say the door-closing alarm, set at 70 decibels, sounds every three minutes during testing and carries into their flats.
The Transports lausannois cite passenger safety but say they are studying whether to lower the volume.
Overnight track cleaning is also disturbing neighbours.
The tram is due to open to passengers in December.
