What do the G rules surrounding Covid mean?
The short cut terms are becoming very common, especially in the German speaking world.
The G stands for the German words, geimpft, genesen, getested. That means vaccinated, recovered, tested.
If a premises shows a sign saying 3G rules are in place that means who have to show you’re either vaccinated, or have recovered or have a negative test.
But some countries, like Austria, are now moving to 2G rules. That removes the tested element. You have to show vaccinated or recovered. Having a just a test will not be acceptable.
The 1G rule means only those vaccinated. Showing a recovered status or a negative test is not sufficient.
