We'll have to wait for warm weather again

In what may be seen as bad news for bars and restaurants which can only open terraces – the weather is going to take a turn for the worse this week, and forecasters say we’ll see the return of the Sahara sand.

Despite the warm April we had last year, this month is set to be cooler than average.

But there could still be an element of doubt. Meteorologists say we’re between two airmasses, a cooler one over northern Europe, and a warmer one over the Mediterranean. That leads to uncertainty.

We’ll have to wait for about 10 to 15 days before temperatures climb above 20 again, say weather watchers.
