Geneva has a new cycle lane – but it’s not official. It was painted on the road overnight yesterday by Extinction Rebellion activists.
The new lane appears on the Avenue du Pailly in Vernier. A notoriously busy junction.
The activists say they want to show the city how easy it would be to give cyclists more room with minimal investment.
The group clearly did its homework -the lane is almost indistinguishable from an official lane.
