UN workers at the Palais de Nations will be working closer together as older buildings are to be closed and staff will be moved into newly renovated spaces.
The UN says the plan is to optimize space.
The organisation is suffering a cash crunch as many member states have not paid what they owe.
As there will be less space for workers, it’s likely many staff will also keep working from home.
