The government will extend the special protection status to those from Ukraine until March 2026.
The ‘S’ protection status is unique to the 66,000 Ukrainians in the country.
There’ll also be extra help to aid integration with language courses and workplace training.
The government say the extension is necessary as the situation in Ukraine has not stabilised on a lasting basis.
