The first victim was a 55-year-old woman. The man punched and kicked her, and continued to do so when she was on the ground.
He then attacked 16-year-old young women who rushed in to help.
Both victims were taken to hospital.
The man was initially detained by SBB security guards before being formally arrested.
Police are calling for witnesses. The attack was Sunday evening at around 8pm near platforms 33/34.
