Hundreds of litres of fuel have leaked into Lake Geneva.
A problem was spotted with a fuel tank near the lake in Evian used to fill trucks owned by a local quarry company. It’s thought about 500 litres has ended up in the lake.
Fire crews have set up an anti-pollution barrier to contain the contamination.
The alert was sounded by locals who could smell the fuel.
