The City of Geneva is planning to plant trees around the Paquis neighbourhood.
At the moment, there are virtually no trees along the roads in Paquis – but the city will plant 75.
The aim is to create cool zones within the urban space.
The new tees will mean the loss of 58 parking spaces, but those will be compensated by underground car parks.
The Jonction area is also being eyed as the next place to get new trees.
