Hailstones as big as ping-pong balls have wrecked the Swiss Miniature Park in canton Ticino.
The park is one of the country’s most popular tourist attraction on the shores of Lake Lugano.
It features many famous landmarks, recreated in miniature in fine detail.
But a hailstorm on Tuesday has caused damage the park says will take months of fix.
Powerlines for the model trains have been broken, boats on the model of Lake Geneva have been sunk and newly planted flowers destroyed.
The park remains open for visitors, but has put up signs apologising for the damage.
Managers believe it will take five months to fix everything.
