The latest figures show the number of people travelling to the United States from Switzerland for a holiday has slumped by 34%.
In the first three months of the year the number of people from this country taking vacations in the US is down 20% compared to the same time last year.
But families are certainly shunning the US. The International Trade Administration shows the number of children entering the US has halved since the beginning of the year. Younger adults - under 24 - are also avoiding the US; 20% fewer made the trip.
Tourism is one of the biggest industries in the US. It generates a trillion dollars every year and supports 9 million jobs.
