Teen beaten in Thônex

A teenager was severely beaten in Thônex in Geneva on Friday evening.

A witness, who’s a councillor for the Swiss People’s Party, said he heard screams and shouts for help and say around 6 youths were attacking one person. 

They soon ran off when others came to the aid of the victim. They fled on mopeds, registered in Geneva and France.

The victim suffered a broken nose and had money and their phone stolen.

Thônex is known for a street crime problem. An 18 year old was murdered in 2021 and police have registered 56 fights.
