Switzerland will be joining the EU ‘Military Mobility’ project after this country’s membership was confirmed by EU states.
The agreement will make it far easier for foreign military personnel and equipment to pass through Switzerland.
It doesn’t just include EU members. It also covers the United States, Canada and Norway. The UK is still in negotiation.
The government approved Switzerland’s participation last summer.
