The Switzerland-EU package has cleared another hurdle today
The National Council's foreign policy commission has backed the key wage protection clause, aligning with the Council of States, which approved the deal in September.
The commission calls strong relations with the EU "absolutely necessary", and welcomes the compromise negotiated with Swiss trade unions.
It still has to decide what kind of referendum the package should go through.
Full debates in the National Council are expected to begin in December.
