Strong winds bring boat traffic to a halt on lake Geneva

After crossing France, storm Domingos swept through Switzerland on Sunday.

Damage was limited, but the lake Geneva Passenger Shipping company (CGN) interrupted many of its runs as a precaution.

No boats were operating between Lausanne and Evian, and cruises planned off the Riviera were canceled.

MétéoSuisse reported gusts of up to 126 km/h at Le Moléson, 120 km/h at Les Diablerets and 116 km/h at Le Chasseral.
