Strong suppport for Covid laws ahead of vote

BAG

There seems to be strong support for the Covid laws ahead of a referendum – despite a vociferous campaign by those opposed to the restrictions.

The vote is just three weeks away and a Tamedia poll show 69% agree with the laws currently in place. That’s up 6% from a poll a couple of weeks ago.

While support for the Covid laws seem to be fairly wide-ranging, there are some differences. Older people are more supportive. 84% of those over 65 years old agree. Those between 18 and 34 are still supportive, but only by 55%.

The polls also show the laws are supported more by men than women.

The vote will be held on the 28th November.
