Rents in Geneva have risen the fastest this year than they have in the past ten years.
From May last year to this May, one in five rents have increased, according to figures from the Cantonal Statistics Office.
On average, rents have risen 1.7% - the steepest rise since 2012.
New tenants had to pay the biggest hike at 8.8%, compared to the previous tenant.
