Winter sports injuries cost hundreds of millions of francs every year.
Figures from the Accident Prevention Bureaux shows 63,000 people are hurt every season - at a cost of CHF 600m.
6% of those injured are classed as serious.
The number of injuries has been falling over the last 10 years – but that reflects that there are fewer people taking to the slopes.
The main injuries are knee problems for skiers and damaged wrists for snow boarders.
