Schoolboy fails exams and loses court case

A schoolboy who failed his federal maturité exam has now also failed to get his grades changed by a court.

The boy from Geneva felt that his maths and visual arts grades should have been higher. His poor marks led to him failing the qualification entirely.

The boy told the court that he felt he had provided good answers for his maths exam and he had mastered it well.

But the examiner told judges the opposite was true.

The same happened when judges spoke to the arts examiner who said the student invoked subjective notions of originality and made several technical errors.

Judges at the Federal Administrative Court sided with the professionals and threw out the boy’s claims.
