The Russian Embassy in Bern has issued a threat against a Swiss journalist following reports he filed from occupied Ukraine.
The writer is the NZZ correspondent in Vienna. But he has reported from many eastern European countries, such as Ukraine.
In one report, he said Ukrainian women were handing out pastries to Russian soldiers, laced with laxatives.
The Embassy says the report broke Russian law and he could be fined or imprisoned if he entered Russia.
Russian diplomats accused the journalist of accepting ridiculous fabrication and rumours spread by the ‘Kiev regime and its henchmen’.
