Police round up escaped youths

Pramont Secure Facility in Valais

Police are slowly rounding up the ten youths who escaped from a secure school in canton Valais.

Over the weekend, the ten overpowered a guard and locked him in a cell and then stole a car.

Police say they’ve found four out of the ten – all aged between 17 and 24. They say the search continues for the others.

In the meantime, managers at the Pramont secure education facility at Granges in Valais have stepped up security. More guards will be on duty overnight and new cameras and a higher fence are being installed.

Police are warning the public not to approach anyone they suspect of being an escapee – but to call them instead.
