A survey by the recruitment firm Manpower shows that nearly half of companies intend to hire staff in the first quarter of next year.
The figure is slightly lower than the same time last year, but Manpower says Switzerland is still has one of the most resilient jobs markets in the world.
But there is the exception of the southern Italian speaking canton of Ticino. Most companies there are not expecting any new hires next year.
