Paléo sells out in record time

Tickets for Paléo sold out in 13 minutes yesterday – a new record.

That’s 200,000 tickets – or 256 a second.

The most popular day was Tuesday, which features Macklemore, Justice, Skunk Anansie and Simple Minds.

Those tickets went in just 5 minutes. 4 minutes later, Sunday was the second day to sell out – David Guetta and Eurovision winner Nemo on the stage for the last night.

High demand was expected, and hardened fans started queuing outside the Paléo Shop at midnight yesterday.

Technology means the tickets can’t be resold except through the official ticket exchange – which opens next Wednesday.

The line up this year is being hailed by critics as one of the best for many years.

1,500 tickets will go on sale every day during the festival – for that day only.
