No to relations between teacher and student in Vaud

Canton Vaud wants to change the law to make sure that there is no question that any sexual relationship between teacher and student is illegal.

Many may find it surprising that it wasn’t already, but the situation has been forced to the front after a teacher in La Chaux-de-Fonds admitted to having several relationships with his students between the ages of 17 and 21 for the last 20 years.

A new draft has been submitted by Green Party member Yannick Maury.

It makes it clear that all sexual contact between staff and student is forbidden. It has wide support.
