New daily flight connection between Geneva and New York

A new service has begun offering passengers daily flights between Geneva airport and JFK airport in New York.

Delta Air Lines began flights between Switzerland and the US yesterday.

Flights will run every day of the week, during the summer season, taking off at 12:50 p.m. Geneva time and arriving in New York at 3:25 p.m. local time. A return flight will leave the Big Apple at 8:45 p.m., landing in Geneva the following morning at 10:50 a.m.

Delta Air Lines says that the new service "meets an essential need for both international Geneva, the region's economy and tourism".

United Airlines currently runs flights between Geneva and Newark in New Jersey, in collaboration with Swiss Airlines.

Geneva Airport says that the Delta Air Lines flights “will boost the market to the United States, which has been relatively stagnant for 10 years”.
