A speeding driver will be counting the cost of his decision as a court hands down a massive fine – CHF 36,000.
The 33-year-old was flashed doing 90 in a 50 zone just before Christmas in 2021. The court decided that was a ‘gross violation in an urban area.’
As the man also has previous driving violations, including a suspension for driving while incapacitated, the court in canton Aargau had had enough.
In addition to the fine, he also has to pay CHF 7,000 in costs.
